Ash and Paul Millen, own Tai Tane Forest located
on Queen Charlotte Drive in the Marlborough Sounds.
We started planting in 1984 and now sustainably manage our forest to produce high quality hardwoods and softwoods.
We grow a range of naturally durable exotic timber species.
Trees have been high pruned so that the butt log produces high quality grades of clear (knot free) timber.
- With over 5,000 mature trees growing in Tai Tane Forest, we selectively thin and mill high quality sawlogs.
- We mill our logs using a band saw and the timber is fillet stacked to season/air dry ready for use.
- We only sell band sawn timber and do not offer timber kiln drying; dressing or finishing services
